Al-Nasiroon — The Helpers — is built upon a timeless Islamic tradition: standing beside those in need and taking collective responsibility for the well-being of our communities.
Inspired by the example of the Ansar, the helpers of Madinah who welcomed and supported their fellow Muslims, Al-Nasiroon embraces a spirit of service, solidarity, and generosity. We seek to carry this legacy forward by connecting people and institutions that share a commitment to uplifting humanity Insha’Allah.
Our work focuses on strengthening relationships among masajid, organizing community responders, supporting returning citizens, and coordinating humanitarian and advocacy efforts throughout Newark and Essex County.
As our network grows, Insha’Allah we remain committed to our founding purpose: bringing people together to transform compassion into meaningful action. Our history continues to be written through the lives we touch, the partnerships we build, and the communities we help strengthen.
WHO WE ARE
OUR MISSION
Al-Nasiroon (The Helpers) responds to urgent needs facing individuals and families in crisis, including those rebuilding their lives after justice-system involvement. Guided by Islamic principles of charity, mercy, and service, we unite the Muslim community’s compassion, resources, and partnerships to deliver coordinated, faith-centered support where it is needed most Insha’Allah. Together, we help people move from crisis toward stability, opportunity, dignity, and lasting belonging while strengthening the networks that enable our communities to thrive by Allah’s Permission.
Al-Nasiroon (The Helpers) turns faith into compassionate action, bringing the Muslim community together to uplift neighbors in need, strengthen families, stand with people through times of crisis, and help returning citizens rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, opportunity, and a lasting sense of belonging Insha’Allah.
